    Hi Vani,

I hope putarekulu is different from Maalpuri. It is made up of sugar powder wrapped with some ghee and butter made paper and they are very famouse in Rajamundry and West Godavari dists.

I love Putarekulu and yeah we can find them in all Swagruha foods..!

I really wonder how they will prepare this sweet?

If any one have idea please share!

Maalpuri and Pootha Rekulu are entirely two different delicacies. Pootha Rekulu are similar to paper napkins in appearance. There is a recipe given for pootha rekulu in Unusual Ones by tejudatla in Kitchen forum. IndusLadies > Kitchen and Household > Indian Recipes > Sweet & Dessert Recipes - Unusual ones! Andhra Spl Sweets Maal Poori is similar to kova wrapped in a poori. Hope this clarifies.
