1. Mix few red chillies in the rice or 2. Mix dry neem leaves in the rice or 3. Mix boric powder in the rice (you have to take extra care in rinsing the rice)
you can add dry Neem leaves in the rice or rice flakes to prevent from small insects..or other wise you can store in the fridge........... or you can add 'boric powder' in rice and mix well , ( not with rice flakes ) while using you have to wash the rice many time this is more important
Newspaper print ink is not apt for any kind of food, whether dry or otherwise. Please don't use newspapers.
nice ideas. i love freezing food for later use and makes life so much easy. what kind of chutneys do you freeze? right now i am in a freezing mode. with summer holidays coming up and kids staying home it will be crazy. can you also tell me about grinding raw mango and the recipes you use it in? i have never heard of coconut mango chutney. today i made palak puree and froze it in glass bottles. so will use the palak puree for palak paneer/ palak puri or roti recipes. kids are loving palak paneer and green puri.
I freeze it. If you are in the US a small deep freeze is quite affordable and doesn't take up much room. I take out a few pounds at a time for daily use, or just what is needed for the current recipe if its something I don't use every day (like rice flakes).
