    hi ladies,

I got my mirena IUD inserted a week before. The very next day after insertion I have mild low ab cramps and pricky pain in the right back area just above my butt. Pain goes off post lunch automatically. After 4 days, I spotted followed by light bleeding so I thought it's my period. When pain gets worse I take one Motrin!

My concern is every day AM -- I get cramps and stabbing pain in my back (same spot) which goes off post lunch...

Is this normal anyone experienced this??

I'm planning to see my GYN next week if pain continues..

    Please share your thoughts.

I had Mirena inserted around Dec end of last year. I had spotting couple of days for the first month. My periods for the first month after its insertion is very light like I could have used 1 pad for first 3 days . second month periods were even lighter like i hardly needed a pad. I spot now and then lightly. Nurse at doc office where I had mirena inserted said ,it takes 3-6 months for your body to get adjusted to Mirena and so there will be spotting which is very common and also periods will be wacky for first couple of month and also periods will be light to no bleeding for some too. All in all i liked Mirena due to light period with no cramping which is a blessing for me :) Hope your body sorts itself out for this new adjustment. let me know if you have any other questions or clarification.
