Ladies, I will be going to Chennai in the end of the month, and I want to get some classy, yet casual outfits (salwars, churidars, kurtas) locally. Previously, I have bought from Pantaloons, but what other places will I be able to find this quality (or better) and also keeps up with the current fashions.
Shoppers Stop, Biba, West Side & Life Style have very good collections too. My preference in the same order. Check their sites online first. I like the first two as I prefer cotton / silk over other materials... They have good set of brands. I prefer to purchase in bulk when they have 40-60% off (Discounts happens every 2-3 months)
If you are looking for salwars - my vote is in this order - Fab India, Biba ( try their exclusive showroom), Lifestyle, Global Desi, Pantaloons, Shoppers stop. Some pricier options are Surang, Evoluzione, Sona's salwar shop, cottons jaipur

You can try Soch. I saw good blouses at their t nagar pondy bazaar store. But you can chk at pther locations top. They do alterations of ready made blouses too.
Hi Sangita, try this Blouses | Athreya Blouses I too am a size 48. They have lovely ready made blouses of plain colours. But designer blouses may not be in your size. Large size petticoats too.

I love this cotton house for frocks and skirts for my kids. I pick up quite a bunch for them when I am in Chennai. Shopping at Cotton House and then a quick snack at Adyar Bakery... ahaa....
