    dnorm01,
please calm down, why are you so angry on this. Ok if from your perspective i am wrong thats ok. I am here to ask for an opinion. I think, child is not only mine, we as parent have joint responsibility to know the whereabouts of our kid. Btw, i don;t think i will be checking on him every minute.

This is a good question. There was another app, I forget the name, but similar to this, a few years ago.

After a few incidents when I couldn't get in touch with DH, and got really worried (my first fear is car has gone down away from road/freeway into a ditch or something and not visible to anybody, or robbed and left hurt bleeding somewhere.), I looked for an app like this. Another time, he went to an office holiday party straight from work, and I had forgotten about the party. By 9:30 PM I was panicking. Loud party or something and he couldn't hear the phone ringing.

But, the idea didn't meet with success in my household. The kids also not in favor of such app on their phone. We do have some other app that they use to help me find my phone or iPad when I misplace it.

I can understand that at an elemental level, a person would not want his/her location at every moment to be trackable, but at the same time I don't understand what is so wrong with it, since spouse any way knows your approximate location at a given time. In fact, should know. Anyway, I dropped the idea as a thing not worth pursuing.

I myself wouldn't mind my immediate family knowing where I am at all times. Unless I am out shopping for a surprise gift for one of them. : )

Maybe the app could have level settings that let a person decide how specifically his location is identified, and how frequently it is updated. Or even better, it should have an incognito mode and erase history option like browser. LOL. :)

Sorry OP, my reply here will not help you.
As this post is on knowing others whereabouts thought to reply here.

Actually my husband goes to casino and I am very much sure about it.
Every day he thinks he can fool me by telling all possible lies.

I have Samsung smart phone and is it possible to track him with the app you mentioned?
I know he wont change and he is clever enough to show to all that he is sooo good.

Without his knowledge can I track him? I want to have all possible proofs.

    Somebody please help. Thank you.

Me and my husband use Find My iPhone in our iPhones and iPads.. it's easy to find each other's phone/iPad if we misplace it..also most of the time my phone will be in silent and he uses it to know where I am and same with me... there is nothing wrong in it... I don't know if I like an app that would constantly ping my spouse's location to me..it's very annoying...and totally unnecessary.. just my opinion

    Fortune1,
It is not like a text or something that will ping you every minute.
Actually i don;t know if it does. If you want, you can open the app and see where he is, also the history.

OP, What is the name of the app.
My dh don't even allow me to open his phone without his permission. It is all blocked with fingerprint password option. He is of the opinion that he don't want a baby sitter. So I can understand what you feel.
You can talk to him why he don't want to track your kid? It is his responsibility too. May be he believes that you will take care.

Abnormal or normal don't bother. If you are irritated because you have the app in your phone and you are being tracked, disable it. Let's assume he is into something, he is not a school kid for you to admonish him. There are many apps and devices available in the market that can let you spy on anyone, if you do research and you have some money to shell (if you can keep the purchase a secret). But whatever information you get will not be complete and it will only cause you to lose your peace of mind further. Just out of curiosity - where do you live? If you live in the US, you should know that every phone keeps track of the location, you can see location history in gmaps and find out where the person went - provided that person does NOT disable the location services. For that they would have to be aware that you are checking on them. If you ask me, just give up this idea, some other poster had posted on husband looking on someone's fb profile... This is all murky business and is equivalent to putting your hand in s***. The more you get into it, the more the stench, more the headache. Pretty unfortunate that technology is causing so much social upheaval and people don't trust each other anymore because of social media - you are connected 24/7 and nobody knows what you are up to, it is so sad.

    Hi @quincyagain ,
I can feel ur situation. When myself and dh bought iPhone,I was testing and learning everything in that phone. When I find this app I asked him and installed in both of us mobile. I set an alarm which rings when he starts from office. So that I can come to home ,since we ladies meet at each ones home everyday. It really helped me to comeback and make something to eat. He won't start from office every day in same time.
But one day it was ringing in afternoon , and I saw the app ,it showed that he is near my house,I called him and asked whether he is returning to home( he was not well that day) . He really got angry because he thought I was checking 24/7. I felt really bad and uninstalled . I was thinking about this for a long time. Then he explained one day, that he doesn't like to be checked like spying. Also I will worry if he is still in office and dint pick up may be in meetings. I know he ll tell everything to me. I understood and left that. Now he is having some dizziness and himself told me to install so that I won't worry all the time.
So in your case,ur husband is definitely thinking like minE

I'm going to get one for both of us. My DH was out running and didn't come back on time. I almost called 911. Then he tells me he came back, got the car and left to go to the dry cleaners without letting me know. And his phone was on mute so he didn't hear me call.
I still can't understand how people come home and go on errands without showering and changing.

I always forget where he is at. Sometimes I call him without knowing what time zone he's at and he's in bed already.

He's offered to do this for all of us at home. Especially our teenager who doesn't pick up the phone or answer texts while at an event away from school.
