It is very painful to know that the new generation of men pretend as though they are single even after their marriage to attract other women. Adultery has been in existence for centuries but at least it existed mostly without much knowledge of the rest of the world and when it became public, the men were punished by the society. Now in the new internet world, the opportunity are many fold for men to lure other women in the plain sight sometimes in the security of their own home.

I am from a generation when I was taught discipline and character is #1 priority in life and if character is lost, everything in life is lost. Objectification of women is what I saw in Access Hollywood video when I heard the conversation of a Presidential nominee. My whole blood boils when I hear about the pedophilia also exists in plain sight despite many cops are capturing the pedophiles by posing themselves as children in chat sessions. In the connected world, the only security for women and children comes from their own alertness to differentiate men's character from their profile, posts, etc. This puts women and children in an extremely vulnerable position. Stringent laws must be introduced to capture and punish such characterless men quickly. In my view, the women and children have a right to lead a fear free life and they don't have to work hard to stay away from such men. The laws may not completely eliminate but at least control it and bring some fear in the mind of such men. How married men venture into such things knowing their married life, professional life and their character could be ruined is beyond me."

Perhaps makes think they will not get caught.

Or if culture is similar to Indian culture, society will punish the wife for leaving the cheater.

Or maybe wife is desperate for marriage to work that she will be in denial.

Nice thread.I am quite similar to you in a way that I don't believe in premarital sex. Let me add few more examples
- One of my colleague socialises well with many women at work did not disclose his marital status to many and he has a kid too. His FB profile does not say that he is married and has only his pics. Not a single pic of him and his wife or child.
- One distant cousin of mine was a flirt but after marriage he has hidden few posts from wall and did not put his wifes pic or marital status on FB. This fellow was however engaged to another lady before but he did put both their pics as cover pic. Later engagement was broken and got married to another women. The one he married is however not so good looking as his ex fiance.

Somehow I feel that some men fail to put their couple pics if they are extremely good looking and have a not so good looking partner

Yes, because the good-looking husband is probably ashamed of his plain looking wife and what his friends may comment

Or are looking to "play the field"

Whether they want online affair with someone more exciting than their wife or they are planning to leave their wife for someone who seems better.

So you see, there are cheats in both genders. Facebook and whatsapp have become additional tools for such business. So, no intense research is at all necessary. The right-thinking men and women should be in such media in a restrained manner and be confined to own known people only.

It is wrong to come to conclusions about genders by the kind of research that you have done. Better you go to sites where there is knowledge culture and you will forget such shabby details of virtual media.

Lot of Men think women are weak and innocent creatures but you are right, they are capable of such misdeeds.

Please recommend sites where there is "knowledge culture"
