There are posts on drama between DIL and MIL, FIL, SIL, BIL ---- goal is to make dramas nil!

Why don't we start Self-Improvement Book Club?

    Change starts with ourselves.

Book I am currently reading is "How to Win Friends and Influence People". Am halfway through and learning how to apply certain principals when interacting with other.

    Important note.
    - One thread per book
    - Discuss changes you are making based on the book
    - Then we as a group will re-read the book 4 months later. This will allow us to grasp more ideas, and correlate it with ideas from other books.

Who would like to join me? Since we are well into September, when October comes along I'll create a thread

I am afraid Dale Carnegie can hardly help. I'd rather suggest watching some documentary on space, NASA. Once you realise what a meaningless speck of dust you are inhabiting another meaningless speck of dust in this big bad cosmos, life suddenly begins to make sense.

    "“God made mud.
    God got lonesome.
So God said to some of the mud, "Sit up!"
"See all I've made," said God, "the hills, the sea, the
    sky, the stars."
And I was some of the mud that got to sit up and look
    around.
    Lucky me, lucky mud.
I, mud, sat up and saw what a nice job God had done.
    Nice going, God.
Nobody but you could have done it, God! I certainly
    couldn't have.
I feel very unimportant compared to You.
The only way I can feel the least bit important is to
think of all the mud that didn't even get to sit up and
    look around.
I got so much, and most mud got so little.
    Thank you for the honor!
Now mud lies down again and goes to sleep.
What memories for mud to have!
What interesting other kinds of sitting-up mud I met!
    I loved everything I saw!
    Good night.
I will go to heaven now."- Kurt Vonnegut

    ....

Do you still love all of us?

Agreed we all are meaningless specks in this cosmos, well we can make some meaning out of it, or strive so, I believe, can't we?? BTW that was a good quote!
And a funny poem to add to it!
    Thanks for that!
    Bye!

@magician you are spiritually mature than most of us.

People on IL get sad when things, esp. marriages, children don't work out.

Please suggest books, documentaries for our spiritually diverse forums.

We have a lot to learn from each other.

Of course I still love you guys!

Well, aren't you a beam of sunshine?

To be honest, I don't think you need self improvement if you keep up that upbeat attitude.
