    Hi does zumbe help in weight loss..? Which is better one hour gyming or 1 hour zumba?

    Breakfast - Whole wheat bread with ICBINB and half spoon jelly
    Snack - Green tea, nuts, fruits
    Lunch - Channa pasta
    Snack - Biscotti, corn, baked pita chips
    Dinner - Rasam rice

    I have done both Zumba and gym, zumba is anytime better as there is a tendency of boredom with gym.

    Breakfast - Tea with no sugar, Cereal with fat free milk
    Snack - Nuts, green tea, banana
    Lunch - chapathi with mixed veg curry
    Snack - Green tea, cup cake and macaroon:facepalm:
    Dinner - Tea with no sugar, adai with sambar and chutney

    Exercise - 30 mins walk

    Breakfast - Carrot juice with brown bread (ICBINB & Grape jelly 1/2 spoon each)
    Snack - Green tea
    Lunch - Yumm bowl (lentil soup, chicken, brown rice)
    Snack - dark chocolate, handful of baked pita chips
    Dinner - Kuzhi paniyaram, 1 dosa with sambar and chutney

    Exercise: 30 min walk

    Snack - 2 small Biscotti, 1/4 adhirasam
    Dinner - Egg kothu parotta with raitha

    Depends on what you do in the gym and how good the Zumba instructor is:)

    In the beginning with Zumba you might burn 500-800 calories per hour (I burned 800 in my first class; used Heart rate monitor; depends on the instructor again and your weight/ht stuff; the less your weight the less you burn in any exercise). After a while it will come down as you get used to it.

    If you do cross trainer in the gym you might get slightly less than that (Don't go by the numbers on the machine unless you are using the heart rate input too else they show more than what you are actually burning). If you run for one hour, you burn more calories.

    My answer would be keep changing your exercise and instructors to get the most of out of the 1 hour..For most of us any group class will force us to continuously move thus expending more calories whereas on our own in the gym, it takes lot of discipline to make the most of the one hour:)

    08/08 Exercise - Nil
    08/09 Exercise - 15 min treadmill (5 min run), 30 min cross trainer, 15 min lower body workout
    08/10 Exercise - 25 min treadmill (10 min run), 30 min cross trainer, 10 min upper body workout
    08/11 & 08/12 - out of station; bad food too:(

    I have monthly time now:BangHead:..will try to do some walking atleast

    Breakfast - Half cup tea, Boiled egg, Health mix Porridge and banana
    Snack - Green tea, almonds
    Lunch - Chapathi, hummus, pickle and curd
    Snack - Apple, Flax seed almond bar
    Dinner - Chapathi with black eyed peas curry

    Exercise - 20 mins walk and 5 mins stair climbing
