    Kids kanchi Maavu

This Kanchi maavu is for kids starting from 7 months till 5 years and was suggested by my Paediatrician. She is so experienced and has seen for more than 3 generations. She has also told me that this combination has been tested and proved to be the best and has not side effects and also the best combination for children.

The ratio of this combination is 1:2:4

1 Soya : 2 (Ragi, Barley, Chamba Wheat, Boiled Rice) : 4 ( Fried Gram dal)
    For eg
100 Gms Soya : 200 Gms ((Ragi, Barley, Chamba Wheat, Boiled Rice) : 400 Gms ( Fried Gram dal)

    Ingredients:

    1. Soya beans : 100 Gms

    2. Ragi : 200 Gms

    3. Barley : 200 Gms

    4. Chamba Wheat : 200 Gms

    5. Boiled Rice : 200 Gms

    6. Fried Gram : 400 Gms

    Preparation :

Roast the ingredients separately well and grind it well in mixie itself.

Depending on the age of the kids, you can start doing the porridge on the thickness for preparation.

Note : This can be given to kids starting from 7 months till 5 Years. You can consistency of the Porridge starting from an watery level to thick one in parallel to increase of the kids age.
No side effects and the ingredients are very simple, and home preparation is the best way for this.
Do not Sieve the mixture as the home made would be rich in fibre.

Hi aarthi - Nice recipe. Thanks! I was planning to ask my mom to make it for us this time and then seeing your post was an awesome coincidence.

One question - Can we replace chamba wheat with the samba wheat rava we get? Or is chamba wheat easy to buy? My mom has to buy in Bangalore so not sure what is available for her. I know that she usually gets the samba wheat rava so will that work?
