2 month old baby having constipation

Simply do whatever you doctor tells you to do.

 

OP,
do what the doc suggested for now. going forward,you can try home remedies to prevent/avoid this situaiton. IMO,12 days is too long.

try to give tummy massage to your baby daily it will help hereafter. if you are bf then drink lot of water n have lot of vegetables.

Good to know the problem is solved.

Soak 1 or 2 dry grapes in i spoon of hot water. mash and filter it. Try to give the filtered dry grape juice to the baby in the night. The next day baby will poo with ease.

When ever my baby is suffering from constipation, this is what we do. My grandma suggested this.

Since your baby is v small, I would recommend talk to doc before giving anything outside to him. What I knew, Bfed babies go more often than formula babies and formula does cost constipation in many babies. In my lo's case, she was pooping more often when on b. milk.

Consider these things at home

• Gripe water ( does not need docs advice) , home made gripe water drops
• message around navel, heeng rubs etc
• Your diet (since u feed her)

Check with your doctor

• What formula you give, consider changing formula brand. Similac is known is give less constipation than Enfamil but I have friends who use Enfamil only.
• if diluted with water will help
• Prune juice
