Thanks Sridhar for posting an inspiring story. However wide and strong our wings grow, our roots must stay in our rich tradition and scriptures, so that we can lead our lives with a wholesome understanding. You write on contemporary issues, you cull out gems from our ancient literature - thanks for sharing your work.

Today will be a red-letter day in my life. For one of the gifted poets and one of the finest writers I know has been kind enough to comment on my blog. You made my day, Ambika.
Human nature has fairly remained unchanged. While jealousy has found new avenues of manifestation its nature has not changed a wee-bit over centuries.
I am blessed and honoured by your presence.
    love,
    sridhar

    Dear Sunitha,
thanks a lot. And the quotation you have enclosed is brilliant. Love makes distant objects come near like a telescope while envy magnifies a small mistake like a microscope

    Dear ice,
thanks a lot. Yes one has to learn a lot from that woman. And she stood alone against an injustice even though her husband perpetrated it.
    regards,
    sridhar

Acc to me, Thozhappar is great. Remember the theme of Virumaandi... "Mannikkiravan manushan; mannippu kekkuravan thaan periya manushan" :)

    Very good article sir

You are in a way right. But remember, that Nampillai who had been openly insulted for no fault of his, had come forward on his own to ask for forgiveness.
if only the Virumandi dialogue writer had known about this incident he would have written the dialogue like this
Mannikkiravan manushan; mannippu kekkuravan thaan periya manushan. thappu pannamaye mannippu kekkaravan deivam."

    thanks for stepping in, Hema.
