Its really delicious ... I never used to like broccoli.. but its healthy..

so, I tried this way...from then on I just cook this way and people are fond of my broccoli curry..

thought I should share with you guys ..

Its kinda like dry curry ..so if you want to eat with rice you should cook rasam or something..

for chapatis it should be a decent dish..

    ingredients
    broccoli, green chillis and thadka.

    here are the steps.

    1. Cut broccoli into small pieces.
    2. Add a spoon or two of oil in a fry pan depending on how much broccoli you have. I like to cook in steel dishes. And also I cook with less oil.
    3. Put the cut broccoli in the pan.
    4. Keep the stove on simmer and put a lid on the pan.
    5. The broccoli will get cooked slowly. Kind of like broil..once in a while stir so that it doesnt stick on the bottom.
    6. Once you feel the broccoli seemed to be cooked add salt ..this is upon estimation..depending upon the amount of broccoli you have.
    7. Take 5-6 green chillis and grind them.
    8. Add the green chilli mix to the broccoli thats getting cooked.
    9. Once you feel the broccoli is cooked, take it into a dish and put it aside.
    10. Take the same pan and put thadka in it.
    11. Thadka - garlic pieces, chana dal, urad dal, jeera and mustard seeds.
    12. once the thadka is done put the broccoli back in the pan and cook with thadka for 5 minutes.

    And your dish ready.. !

Please try, you will start loving broccoli.

one small correction.. its not advisable to cook any greens with lid covered. you can google on that. may be u can sprinkle a little bit of water, and cook it in low flame...that's what i do when i make stir fried broccoli.

mmm...i will try it out.u can try my brocoli dish this way.brocoli florets,1 onion cut into thin slices,3 or 4 green chillies slit, then one chicken stock cube.mix all together and add little oil in a pan and fry it in a low flame.cover the lid for few minutes for the brocoli to cook in its own water. the remove the lid and fry it.just take it out as little crispy. u will love it.
