    Hi Shiva,

    As a variation , I tried basan ka pancake today. they turned out to be good .. .i made them very thin. They were a bit hard , it was beacuse they were very thin or some other reason . please suggest .

    did you add grated vegetables in the batter??? Thin beasan pancakes will turn hard but thick ones won't. AT my home, we used to add grateed cauliflower and a tomato to besan batter. It would be thick and a bit sloppy but amazing in taste. Try it out.

    The pancakes that are shown here are not made of besan dear. They are made from yellow and green daal. May be becoz you are making them with besan you are not getting the right taste.

    no rice at all?i have heard of pesarattu that is made of moong dhal and rice or with left over idli batter,lentils alone will give a totally different taste i guess. lemme check it out and get bk to u
