Hi folks, it's been a while. I am here with a bit of update in my DD. She will turn 3 in few months. Enjoying every moment with her. She has started reading three letter words. My question is should I teach her vowels, and further rules, so she can learn or should I just leave it at this. She learned to do this with minimal guidance. I don't want to push her into anything. She is tracing all letters, knows numbers upto 100, can recognize and tell time. She understands gravity, buoyancy, makes nice chapati, loves reading. She will soon start nursery. Her questions are endless. Me and H are very wary of letting her be a child and not be rushing into anything. Please guide me.
There is no need to rush her into vowels. Let her grasp reading. Has she got a grasp on letter sounds?
Hi hope2b, your daughter is gifted. shes having high IQ. .she seems to have good language skills. give her lots of books to read. books with simple sentences ,single story like that. she is only 3 years. so please don't over do anything. give her own time . let her enjoy this valuable time with playgroups before entering regular school.
Thank you appu. After some pondering I have stopped the idea of formal teaching from my side also. When she attempts to read, I let her know some rules. Yea, she already has a lot of books.
