brown discharge during periods

hi all,
I am 29 and married for 6 months. I have a regular mentrual cycle of 26-28 days. i am getting brownish discharge during my periods and this has been there after i got married. I have never had any problems with my cycles so far and any brownish discharge before. i asked a friend of mine who is a doctor and she said its nothing to worry about. i even researched online and read it as old blood discharge. if its just old blood then why i did not get anything like that before 6 months? though my friend told its nothing to worry about, everytime i see its confusing me. my friend did not mention any reason for this when i asked her though.

When do you get the brown discharge? Before or after periods? For how long?

After marriage and before, things are different.

hi vasumathy,

thank you for the reply...i am getting it along with menstrual blood..all through the 3 days...in between the red blood...sometimes even black color spotting like tar!
