    So sad to hear abt this...!! heartless son....i donno why guys behave this wayout with the parents...atleast he might tried convincing them...!! but this sort of shocking them is really shameless...!!!
    I pary God for the helpless parents..!!

    Dear Saahitya mam,

    I fully agree with you. The former (sons being totally consumed with love for one's parents) is applauded by our society whereas the latter places them in the worst of the ranks. But who makes up this so called society.It is we people. So unless we change our attitude this situation would definitely continue to be the cause for more heartaches. Live and let live should be our motto and personally I think the panacea for all such problems.

    This is the topic of the season....because it happens everywhere.
    .the boy should have soothed his parents in such a way..that they had to accept it...
    But parents should also not have any expectations like before...that the son/daughter will listen to them and they will marry the bride/groom of their choice....those days are gone...but there are exceptions, in any case...

    Dear,

    In this case both the parties to be blamed. In the current times, it is easier parents learn to adopt and understand children & also children learn to understand parents.
    This is not a case in isolation, it will be always there. One disappointing the other.
    It will be prudent to go with the change in the world and make the best of the situation.

    Ofcourse the son could have tried different tactics to convince the parents, i suppose he is very hasty. Some time ago parents objected to intercaste marriage, now
    intercountry marriage.It will go on.
