I had a scan yday and doc said my AFI level is 17...
I'm in 39th week (38th week, 1 day) and my doctor said my AFI level is very high....

Value of 17 during 39th week is normal or not??

Can u please tell me ?

RamyaHari,
Even i think its high. But you are almost there in pregnancy. What is the approximte weight of your LO?
Just watch out for any signs of labor and keep in touch with your gynec. What is your doc suggesting for delivery plans? Wait till 40W? When is the next scan?

@Vasumathy,

Last week when i went for scan my AFI got increased to 21...., doc suggested to go for operation.

Delivered a baby boy on Feb 6th via C-section.

Am finding it horrible post surgery, especially pains, not able to sleep properly and switch sides when sleeping.

Also not able to get up properly due to stitches.

Hope i recover soon from this , i'm really worried....

Having problems with breast feeding, milk is not coming in sufficient quantity

C-section has its own troubles. Hope you have physical support for few weeks at least. Don't strain too much. Give your body some rest now. You will recover completely in time. Be strong and positive.
Milk quantity will increase in time and with demand. Though you get little supply, try and let your LO suck the milk. Sucking will trigger the milk supply. Hope soon you will manage it. All the best.
