    Hi

I love knitting and I try to knit using different types of yarn. However, one thing i have noticed is, everytime I start knitting, I get boils in my head and body (like acne). It goes away once I stop knitting. Does this happen to anyone else? How do I get around it please?

    Thanks

If it were an allergic reaction wouldn't it appear on your hands and arms first? You could be allergic to the specific yarn you are using. Try switching to synthetic yarns and see if the problem persists.

For some people knitting or handling yarn increases body heat. May be that is the reason for this breakout. This happens to me but in a different way, I feel dehydrated and lose hair when I knit. I find it surprised and enquired about it to couple of people and one person said that she lost lot of hair while knitting tooo. Everybody different.
