    Hello group members,
    I am almost 30 kilos overweight, hypothyroidism and have a very weak right knee as a result of two fractures.
    I set out on the mission to lose weight early last year and lost eight kilos in six months with moderate exercise and sensible eating. It was at this point that I was afflicted with rheumatoid arthritis and the last six months were tough. However, now that the disease seems to be under control, I am once again looking to resume exercises and diet monitoring. I thought that in a group, the process would be a lot more fun and others' experiences would be an added motivating factor.
    I have been receiving the emails and am looking forward to a fruitful and successful weight loss journey with ILites! :)

    Hi Everyone,

    So far doing good with the diet no binging.Not able to do any exercise because of time constraints but will soon try that.Drinking lots of water.Having more proteins and less carbs works well.

    Diet followed yesterday
    Breakfast coffee with trulia
    Smoothie with strawberry and banana
    mid morning protien bar
    afternoon 1/2cup fada with 1/2cup beets
    mid afternoon:1/2cup peanuts and protien bar
    evening coffee
    Dinner Salad

    Hi friends, keep going don't stop your good work. It's festive season , I know we have food, food ,food everywheregigglingsmileywith sweets, vadai........... Don't try to stop eating those yummy things, have portion control. If u suppress your feeling towards the food u like one day or the other u will cheat yourself & binge on that, so never do that. If u want to eat, eat without any guilty feeling (then u can do extra workouts for that extra calories).

    Some cheat workouts for this festive season,

    1. While working in kitchen kick ur legs for few mins, shake ur arms for few mins.
    2. Try to sit & get up ( for eg. Keep all vegetables on the floor & take one by one vege from down & keep on the working place)
    3. Do few stretches while walking around.
    4. Sit down on the floor & eat.

    These cheat workouts only for pongalideasmiley

    Hi Hema, welcome aboard, come join us in the weightloss journey. Ask ur dr what type of exercise u can do. Don't strain ur legs , try to do upper body workouts, with diet u can have a change. Don't starve telling diet, healthy diet is important for healthy life.

    Hi friends, hope u all enjoyed your pongal........ Let's be back to our regime.
    Lets detox our body with this simple drink.

    Water. 2 lts
    Cucumber. 1( cut in slices along with skin)
    Mint. 10 leaves
    ginger. 1/2 inch grated
    lemon. 1( cut into 4 pieces)

    Combine everything in a pitcher & leave it overnight. Drink it the next day. Instead of plain water u drink this water the whole day, u can see the difference. U can do it once a month.
    If u have cold or wheezing ,pls don't take this.

    Everytime I have heavy meal or festive celebration I will surely drink this to keep me in pace.

    Hi Sujatha,

    It's a great drink indeed, I have also read that it helps in reducing the belly fat.

    My day 12 :

    Morning : green tea in warm water
    Break fast - Maggiee with vegetables in it- carrot, beans (Sorry was getting late so could make only this)
    Lunch : Lemon rasam, Banana flower veg, brown rice
    Dinner - Salad

    Work out :
    morning 30 mins
    evening 30 mins
    Russian twist for 40 seconds , side bends - 50 , mountain climbers 60 secs
