    Re: Moving to Melbourne, Australia

Hi, my name is Chandni and I and my husband might be moving to Melbourne in September.
I was wanting to know whether all Indian groceries and spices are available in Melbourne or do I need to carry anything from India.
Also, are most Indian utensils like cooker, idli stands, tawa, patilas etc available in Melbourne or would I need to carry that too.
what could be the approximate cost of these stuff.
I would appreciate any guidance on what things I should carry from India.

    Thanks in advance.

Re: Essentials to get to Australia / New Zealand

    Welcome to the forum!

Glad you found the info useful Chandni.

We get groceries here. Please do not carry any item of food prohibited in the quarantine list. The people here are very strict. Pls refer to the quarantine website for more details.

As a new migrant, I would suggest you get all the utensils you require. Utensils are costly here.

As a new migrant, some airlines give you concession in luggage allowance..

    Regards,

    Corallux

Re: want to learn Sweater Knitting-pls help

    Hello, :wave

I also became interested in knitting recently & i found many helpful tutorials on YouTube.com . The great thing about viewing tutorials at YouTube is that you can actually watch the steps for knitting & then also ask the person who put the tutorial on YouTuibe questions. I found it very helpful.:)

    Hope that helps. :)

    Take Care,
    Aruneh
