Today we worship amman in the form of Raja Rajeswari Devi and offer Paalathalikalu as naivedyam.

    Recipe:

    Rice flour 1cup
    Jaggery 1 cup
    Milk 1/2 ltr
    Sago 4 tsp
    Sugar 3 tsp
    Cashew Nuts
    Cardamom Powder
    Ghee

    Preparation:

    1. Add little water to 1/4th cup of Jaggery and make syrup.
    2. Add the jaggery syrup to rice flour and knead into dough
    3. Apply ghee to hands and make the dough into thin rolls and cut them with 2 inch pieces.
    4. Boil milk and add Sago,Jaggery,Sugar and Cardamom powder
    5. Add the Rice dough rolls to it
    6. Cook for 20-25 mins
    7. Saute Cashew nuts and dry grapes in ghee, add to the above preparation

There are different preparation methods, I learn this method from my Mom and it tastes good.

    Nice thread :)

    I have prepared prasadams on 8th , 9th and 10th of DASARA.

    8th Day - Durgashtami :

Rawa Pulihora ( Made with Rice Rawa and Tamarind )
    Semiya Kesari

    9th Day - Maharnavami :

Dhadojanam ( Authentic seasoned curd rice )
Annam Paramannam ( Rice Kheer )

    10th Day - Vijayadasami :

    Pulihora ( Tamarind Rice )
Poornam Boorelu ( Dumplings stuffed with jaggery&chana dal mixture )

Festivals are always cherishing for me because of three reason,

    1. The fun and love we share with our family & friends
    2. Divinity in the atmosphere
    3. Food and Celebrations

I wish everyone would be blessed by Divine Lord Durga
