My 3rd time weight loss challenge: Working mom with 2 kids

    Never give up!! Start now and you can achieve it... In fact, no one is fit here as well. We lose, we eat and enjoy then we gain again fall back to weight loss. This is very very normal. But, believe me in my case my DH was so co-operative and motivated me a lot :). Yes, I had lost weight three times and whenever I feel bad about my shape, my hubby helped me to do some ex. Now after 2 kids, everyone call me 'skinny' :) I was super FAT during my wedding hehehe...

    I follow this simple mantra (formula).

    If you want to lose weight, you must diet (food portion control) + 60 mins workout of your choice (could be walking or treadmill or elliptical or LS walk or whatsoever). But calories burning should be more than the intake calories.

    If you want to maintain wt, just eat normal and ex regularly min 30 mins ..

    25 squats
    Leg raises
    Lunges

    I had mentioned it this way but probably you didn't notice it- treadmill 60 mins and elliptical as 60 calories (not 60 mins) :biggrin2:. I never do a 2 hours workout.

    I'm here. Yes, I didn't login for soooo many days. I was bit down with acidity issues, official issues but still dieting and working out regularly. I'll start posting my updates from today.

    Hello Ladies,

    Happy New Year!!

    I was down with acidity issues so couldn't follow any proper diet or workout. But, I'm back now. I try to avoid sour items like citrus fruits, berry, tamarind, spicy items and follow a very mild diet includes more plain 2% home made yogurt, milk.

    Here are my updates,

    Jan 13:
    Morning - 1 cup honey water (on empty stomach) , 1 cup boost, 2 wheat bread slices, soaked almonds
    Breakfast - 1 small bowl honey bunch of oats, fruits smoothie (with vegan protein powder)
    Lunch - Brown rice, chapati, boiled egg white, vegetable, yogurt
    Dinner - Idly, chutney, 1 cup viva (sometimes just plain milk without sugar)

    Workout:
    Treadmill - normal walk - 10 mins; inclined walk - 30 mins
    Elliptical - 20 mins
    Squats
    Arm workout

    Jan 14:
    Morning - 1 cup honey water, 1 cup boost, 2 wheat bread slices
    Breakfast - 1 small bowl honey bunch of oats, fruits smoothie (with vegan protein powder)
    Lunch - Brown rice, chapati, boiled egg white, vegetable, yogurt
    Eve - soaked almonds
    Dinner - Yet to have

    Workout:
    Gym closed
    Squats
    Arm workout

    Question:
    Is it good to have yellow part of egg? I hear mixed reviews so just thought to clarify. Few say that yolk is animal fat but few others say that when we don't eat yellow part then we're not consuming the full energy out of egg. Is it so?

    I'm back after a long vacation. I'll start posting my updates from today. Guess what, I have gained 10 lbs during my India trip and I want to shed those within 3 months.

    July 21 updates:

    Breakfast - boost, 2 wheat bread slices, soaked almonds
    Mid morning - 2 carrots, 1/2 apple, 1 banana
    Lunch - 1 boiled egg white, 2 chapati, 1 small bowl brown rice, dhal, vegtable & yogurt
    Eve - 1 banana
    Dinner - 3 small wheat dosa, sambar, plain milk

    Workouts:
    Treadmill - 3 miles; burnt 308 cal; 57 mins
    Elliptical - burnt 133 cal; 20mins

    Welcome Back!!

    No wonder I was thinking where you vanished.
    I hope you had a great trip back home with your family.

    Update on my side - I am currently doing 90 day challenge from Bikini Body Mommy 4.0 and have 2 more weeks left to finish the challenge. But from past 4 days I haven't done any workout [:(]. Need to start asap. I have lost couple of pounds and few inches after starting this workout. Most importantly I am stronger now and I can use 7.5 - 10 lbs for my strength training. Earlier I used 5 lbs.

    I moved to a new apartment complex 1 week back and my in laws are also here since last 1 month.
