sleep with natural methods not pills

    Hello,
    I am need of proper sleep. Right now, I sleep 4 hours a night due to hormone imbalance. I do nap during the day but only for a short time. Any natural methods for sleeping, please help! I look forward to your responses.

    Try hot milk with nutmeg pwdr (little bit) before bedtime. You should address the underlying issue. Hope you are not stressed or anxious.

    This might be silly, making Dosa's at night makes me sleep well.
    Since younger days, I go to bed but actually sleep few hours later.
    Then I realized the days I make dosa or heavy cooking at night, I sleep well.
    I guess the steam from the dosa tires my eye, same with cooking at night, it tires my eyes.

    Watching a movie before bedtime, tires my eye and I get good sleep after watching movies.

    You can try reading books before bedtime.

    I guess our eyes needs to get tired to get good sleep. On the days that I don't cook at night or watch movie at NIGHT, I don't sleep well.

    I have sleep issues for quite some time. side effects of some medicines that i have been using.

    !. eat healthy
    2. drink plenty of water
    3. exercise well
    4. listen to good music
    5. switch off all gadgets at bedtime..switch off the net specially if you are prone to checking fb/whatsapp.

    and do check this.. this music definitely calms me..and induces sleep.

    and if you are stress or anxiety prone, look into issues and reduce it.

    Sleeping for 4-6 hrs is fine I have done so for years in my life.My quality reading time was always 10 pm. to 2or 3 am then wake up by 5,30 -6 am and get my act going to leave home by 8.30a.m
    so as long as your body is ok with less sleep its fine and if you are lying awke and tossing , it cloud be you are tensed or not really tired Try some of these.
    A glass of warm milk with haldi.
    Play soft music that can go into sleep mode.
    Think of your favorite things/ places / friends/experiences /dream of what you plan to do all these could soothe you
    I think of flowers in my garden and elsewhere wish for more place imagine planting more plants etc say a prayer keep chanting namah shivaya or any GODs name & sleep .

    Hi Alita,

    Drink hot water or hot milk before you go to sleep. Stop thinking on things that bothers/ hurts you a lot rather keep silent from mind. Once you practice this you will get proper sleep irrespective of any issues

    even I sufferred some times back and i practised this. Trust me. This helps

    try some sports in evening...like badminton. reading before going to bed is also good.
    had you been a student i would have suggested studying...always hleped me doze off .
    avoid pills as much as you can.!

    Thanks for all ur help ladies, anxiety and stress could be the culprits, but hormonal is probably the answer.
