KG1 CBSE Admission 2015-2016 in Shj & Dubai

Hi all,
Not able to be regular here as hv a second kid of 1.6yr.

well today had DPS interview.Things were ok n my time slot was 10:30-11am.as we walked in the teachers greeted very well and asked our slot n gave a kids detail paper to attach on his shirt.Just 2 min. a teacher comes and takes my son with her with whom he went easily(thank god). there were 3 rooms and the teachers were sending accordingly kids to all the rooms so the process was quite quick.
after 5 min we were called to come and by that time my son also came out n we were called in to meet the teachers I don't know she was headmistress or someone but she was with short hairs n not young. she asked me my working timings, my educational degree as I m Bed.if my son was going to playschool n for how long.thats it. it was very very short. and done..

To my son he was asked some shapes n to point out some particular thing. she asked to show a police car in my son case.

So these r the details I think I have made it all.. hoping for the best!!!

Seems every one is on dps interviews. I too booked the appointment date on Nov 1st but before that we got a call for interactive session from gemskgs , we attended and we booked admission there. Since I will be traveling to india in Dec, we confirmed the admission with kgstarters. I hope it's also a good school. Any body whose has any views on it kindly inform. So we didn't attend dps interactive session !!!. I know the traveling time will be more for dubai based schools. Any body knows at wat time will kg 1 buses start from sharjah. ...??

There were 2 kids in my building here in Maysaloon attending KGS, and they were usually picked up by 5:45am. I've seen them waiting when their bus sometimes come late. That was 2 years ago though, and I'm not sure if they are still going that early, or if they are still going to KGS, as I haven't seen them much after my kid who used to go to Dubai too (her pick up time was 6:10am) was transferred here in Sharjah.

My son's interview at DPS shj is at 3pm today. Unfortunately my hubby will not be able to make it as he is on an official trip. How particular is dps with both the parents attending the interview? I'm very worried. Please share your views.

This is Nisha,I just back from india after a vacation.
well..I finished registration in ourown,leaders and indian international school..we have to wait till 30th november to know the result in our own school.I dont kmw about leaders but its very good school i think so as i gone through their website.

please note, these are for Dubai schools only. Sharjah schools are not ranked by KHDA since KHDA is a Dubai based educational rating body. Also, in Dubai, Indian High school's outstanding rating is only for senior school and their primary wing gets Good.

In Sharjah, DPS is without doubt the best. It is much better than DPS Dubai. However, besides the ratings, one should also talk to students and teachers since facilities between an Our Own and a DPS Dubai are not the same even if the rating is the same.

Gems Modern Academy is an ICSE school and not CBSE. It is an excellent curriculum since I studied that curriculum growing up in the 80s in India. However, the fees are steep - Nearly 3000 AED a month!
