    We had the same thoughts about the brown rice too! But that was not the case.. Guess what, my 5 year old likes brown rice and thanks to my hubby for introducing us to brown rice.. Parents got used to when they were here and now in laws are getting used too as well..our whole family eats brown rice !

    Try it and you'll fall for it .. Else, try millets but expensive.. Water: rice ratio matters :)

    We buy brown sugar too..

    Hi ladies,


    I lost weight for the 3 rd time but have few lbs left on my tummy and hips .. Working on that right now.. Feeling excited and I hope I maintain it this time :)

    workout : 3 miles treadmill burnt around 250 calories
    Climbing stairs

    hi anitha congrats on ur weight loss.

    im still maintaining at 66kg at the moment. and i think it will be a big acheivement if i managed to stay at 66kg after diwali.
    and i was not updating my diet an workouts due to work loads at home and office. but i make sure i workout 30 to 35 mins at least 5 times per week.

    i have bought a cross trainer via online. just want to share with the mummies here.

    Congrats seekingbless. How is a crosstrainer different from a elliptical? Which one burns more calories?

    That's nice... So, in this type we need to stand and pull handles right (i forgot the name of the class) ? I once attended a class (biking) and it was very tough but burns more calories.

    My schedule is too tight these days as my baby is getting too naughty (yes, he completed 6 months already). I'm in weaning stage. I still haven't joined job yet as I'm waiting for visa approval etc etc. I'm spending my whole time with both of my kids hugsmiley ... I'm working out 6/7 but sometimes only 4/7 based on appointments.

    I still have to lose 10 more lbs (have some fat in my tummy and lower body)..

    Breakfast - 1 cup boost, 1 wheat bread, 2 glass fruit smoothie
    Mid morning - soaked almonds
    Lunch - Chapathi, Brown rice, Vegetable, 1 boiled egg, yogurt
    Eve - grapes
    Dinner - dosa, 1 banana
    Prenatal, Vit D3 & Biotin

    Workout:
    Treadmill - 3 miles - 340 calories - 60 mins
    Elliptical - 20 mins - 70 calories
    Total: 410 calories
    Climbing stairs
    Arm workouts
    Squats
