My 3rd time weight loss challenge: Working mom with 2 kids

    Anitha,

    You can make Moongdal(parappu), Poha(Aval), Rice payasams with jaggery they tastes yummy. you can also make Dates payasam without any sugar init- if you never tried, make it this diwali healthy choice it will be.

    Sometimes i make semiya/sago payasam with Jaggery, they tastes better and happy for us to made healthy choice.

    Recently i tried quinoa payasam also with Jaggery- it was yummy.

    These are the few i tried, think it you will find a replacement!!

    from today I am started my weight loss journey again.
    today weight : 62.6

    diet :

    6 am - warm water
    7 am - coffee
    9 am - oats
    10.30 am - 1 banana
    11.30 am - 1 bowl curd rice with pickle
    2.30 pm - 2 cream biscuit
    4.30 pm - warm water
    6.300pm - 1 batura with chole
    9 pm - warm milk


    exercise :

    lislie 2 miles walk - 30 min
    ab exercise
    planks
    hip exercise

    Hi Anitha,
    Great going. Looks like you are in the toning mode now. I was going to suggest Jilliam Michaels No More Trouble Zones. But since you already found something else, you might not need it.

    I was MIA, too many things in life. Will post updates whenever I get a chance, I am still controlling diet and working out.

    October 13 update
    BF: upma and smoothie(apple,banana and orange)
    Lunch: rice, vegetables,fish and curd
    Snack: few peanuts and 1/2 sweet potato
    Dinner: 2 roti with vegetables and some chicken

    Ex: JM level 1 and shopping for 30 min

    bf - as usual milk, wheat bread slices max 2, fruit smoothie (trying different berries)
    lunch - roti, brown rice, vegetable, boiled egg white, yogurt
    snacks - soaked almonds sometimes grapes only
    dinner - 4 Kambu dosa (quantity 4 because of Kambu else 2)
    no milk
    1 prenatal, 1 biotin, 2 Vit D3

    ex at gym
    treadmill
    elliptical
    triceps / ab with equipment (hubby taught)
    whole day climbing stairs
    arm workout
    pumping / nursing baby

    All my friends, neighbours are surprised to see my progress :party

    Few observations:

    1. I don't see much fruits / vegetables in your diet. If you feel difficult to eat fruits during winter months, make smoothie (currently, i'm doing that)
    2. Try to add boiled egg daily
    3. Just yogurt rice and pickle for lunch is very less. Try to include dhal, vegetables daily.
    4. Eat brown rice instead of white rice and brown sugar instead of white

    I daily include 1 boiled egg white, brown rice, 1 vegetable for lunch; soaked almonds or dates as snacks, fruit smoothie (1.5 apple, 1.5 banana, few strawberries, few raspberries) for breakfast. Since, i'm bf ing i'm including chapati and rice for lunch as I get more hunger once I stop bf ing I'm planning to stick to wheat chapati for lunch.

    Hello Ladies,

    How are you all doing? I'll be on and off here after as I'm settling with my new job. I haven't joined it but the formalities are going on. I'll continue to be on diet and follow workout plans and I'll post whenever I find time.

    HI,
    sure ma....
    I will try to incorporate veggies and fruits in my diet. As i am having phulka nost of the time and will have rice only once awhile. i try to have white rice ( which my family members too prefer). ALso i am lazy enough to cook just 1 cup cooked brown rice only for me as my family members dnt prefer brown rice.
    As i am having 6 meal a day including snacks, i prefer just one bowl rice n afternoon . Still i am not fully into diet ... will soon follow it .
