    Sep 29th - Monday - Evening prasadam - Moong dal sundal
    ======================================

    Ingredients:
    ========
    Moong dal- 1 cup
    Salt - to taste
    Coconut grated- 1 tbspoon
    Coriander leaves- 1 spoon
    Lime juice- 1 tspoon

    To temper:
    Oil- 1/2 spoon
    Mustard seeds- 1/2 tspoon
    Green chili - 2 finely chopped
    Ginger- 1/2 spoon(Finely choped)

    Method:
    ======
    1. Wash and soak moong dal for 1 hour.
    2. Drain water and cook them in a open pan in medium flame.
    3. Care should be taken to constantly watch it as it might get mushy if left unattended.
    4. Once cooked, take a sample and mash and check if its done.
    5. It will be separate and at the same time cooked.
    6. drain water and wash it running water to prevent further cooking in that heat.
    7. heat oil and add mustard , green chili, ginger and let it splutter.
    8. Add cooked moong dal and toss with some salt.
    9. Add the coconut gratings and switch off flame.
    10. Lastly add some lime juice and coriander leaves. Served for today evening pooja.

    @ Magee: Thank you. I wanted to try some healthy paniyaram as my LO loves them. So this came as a viola!!! :idea

    @ Uma Siva sankar: Thank you dear! Im improvising my photography now.. Thanks to this contest. I first started taking pictures with my Phone camera, then iPad and now i picked my DSLR for better photos and experimenting with different lenses. Atleast my DH is getting happy that i started to have a passion for his favorite hobby :p

    Prasadham : Microwave Carrot Badam Cashew Kheer
    Recipe :

    • Carrot – 2 (grate them)
    • Badam – 10 to 15
    • Cashews – 10
    • Ellaichi
    • Milk – ½ Litre
    • Milk maid - 2 teaspoon (optional)
    • Charoli seeds for garnishing (optional)
    • Sugar as required

    Soak badam and cashews in boiled water for 10 to 15 mins
    In a microwave safe bowl , boil grated carrot with little milk for 6 to 8 mins. Cool it.
    Grind this with peeled badam and cashews,Add little milk and make fine paste.
    Transfer the paste to a bowl , add milk, milkmaid,sugar,cardamom and mix well
    Boil it for 5 mins and garnish with charoli seeds , badam and cashews!!
