It is like umpa/khichadi. Here you go:

Roast sooji slightly in ghee. Remove from heat and keep separately.

Heat ghee. Add cinnamon, cut/grated apple and saute slightly. Add 3/4 cup water. Add salt (optional). Allow water to come to a boil. Reduce to simmer and add sooji. Close with lid. Open after 5 minutes. Sooji should be cooked through.

Joy of life, I found this in chitvish menu I think.
    Pasiparuupu Idli:

    Moong dhal - 1 cup

    Urad dhal - ½ cup

    Salt

    To temper:

    Oil - 2 tsp

    Mustard seeds - 1 tsp

Coarsely powdered pepper & jeera - 2 tsp

Finely chopped green chillies - 1 tsp

Finely chopped ginger - 1 tsp

    Hing - ½ tsp

    Curry leaves - few, chopped

    Coriander leaves - few, chopped.

Wash & soak moong dhal in water for 3 hrs.

Wash once & soak urad dhal in ½ cup water in the fridge for 1 hr.

Grind urad dhal adding water little by little, till it becomes fluffy.

Grind moong dhal to a coarse (rava like ) paste – keep a watch, this grinds very fast !

Mix both with salt & allow to ferment.

6-8 hrs fermentation is enough since moong dhal will become sour.

    Temper all the given ingredients.

Mix lightly & make idlis as usual.

It is optional to add 1 tbsp coconut pieces & 2 tbsp soaked & well drained gram dhal to the dough.

    Just casually visited here.

My DD is now 11 months old. She has her own likes and dislikes now.
She prefers pasta for breakfast. Rice and mixed veggies for lunch, and nestum cereal mixed with her milk for dinner.
She eats a banana daily as morning snack. As for evening snack, she opts for some rusks/biscuits

I want to give her something healthy like soup or porridge. Also, some grams and other fruits. Since we dont have fresh apples (mostly coming from Europe or Australia, which are not so fresh) I don't give them much.
I want her to drink some fresh juices as well.

What's the right time to introduce eggs?

She likes to eat anything such as chappati, dosa, or anything from our plate. But just for a couple of pieces. However very fussy with her own plate.

You can introduce egg yolk, I made egg yolk omelette for breakfast since 8 months. For egg white it is recommended to wait for a year.

Have you tried oatmeal??. My daughter loves oatmeal mixed with poached/ steamed fruits and apricot or prune puree. That's her mid morning snack.
