Do the guys work in a security specialist role in IT? if they are you will not find them on social media or anywhere on google.. and if you cant find them looks like they do their jobs well..:)

Which obviously means the groom is matured and confident enough and has a LIFE to call his own.Not spending too much time on fb shows she does not need others approval.he seems to be busy too.Not all people are on fb or linkedin.

I won't be worried. I'd be disappointed that I can't snoop on him...

I'm guilty of having an id on every conceivable site. Lots of my friends and family refuse to get on to Facebook, LinkedIn etc. they are really normal people otherwise. Actually not just normal - they seem more content and productive than the ones who spend all their time uploading pictures of their breakfast; I'm lot in mainly to drool over such pictures...

On the whole I'd actually be impressed with such a guy for resisting the temptations of online networking...

My husband is not on any of the social networking site and he is a wonderful husband and dad.

One of his friends asked him why he is not on facebook......he said"I can like my wife and daughters at home".:rotfl

should give first importance to GOD, family wife kids parents, job friends relatives like that and then again if u have time then can go to FB ...so always give more importance to the people rather than on any social sites..
its all for time killing and should have time to kill rather than wasting usefull time

I don't think it's a big deal , as many people value their privacy and do not want their personal info to be available to the public. There are better ways of knowing about the guy...With the help of mutual family/friends/detective agencies u can get detailed info about his whereabouts, habits etc...

I have a FB account that has not even logged in in more than a year- and I was never active to begin with. Like many, I too signed-up to reconnect with a old friend from school. Never put a picture of myself in any of these internet sites. I have an inactive linkdin account. My husband has none.

I think keeping my privacy in this world where people are over sharing is actually a good thing. I would be more concerned when people overshare on such sites. Most people go overboard on putting pictures of their babies too. I have not shared one picture of my baby on these sites and never will.

Honestly, if I were the prospective groom and found out that my prospective bride's criteria for normalcy & what is acceptable largely revolves around social media presence, FB account, etc., I would be worried!

More than half the world's total population does not have fb accounts.....and many of them may not have heard of linkdin. And further still a lot many of them may have incognito accounts like many have on IL.

looove the conversation between you two ;) :) ;)

btw i know several guys too who use 2 different fb accounts, one for family and others from home area and second one to show off for friends etc.
My own hubby for example has an fb account under a nickname (initials) which he nearly never uses, he simply doesnt like social medias and thinks ppl who prefer chatting over having face to face or atleast phone conversations are odd... it depends on taste i guess :)

Anywhays good luck with the research bout family backround, hope you find someone from that microsoft seattle. Sounds quite good shes saying hes nice and sensible, its good sign.
