    Congrats and wishes to you...

Well thats not the Exact Reason for eating mangoes,
but mangoes contains high sugar content, so if you eat more mangoes
it will increase your blood sugar level to high extent which will lead to
    Gestational Diabetes.

mango, Pineapple & Jackfruit contains more sugar which should be
    avoided. (Mukani in Tamil)

but eating 1 or two pieces will never be a problem.

    Congrats on your pregnancy!!!

i too am a mango freak like you and im running 14weeks now... yes loads of suggestions have poured in not to eat any foods that cause increase in body temp especially mangoes. what i do is i eat one or two pieces a day and to balance the heat it causes i consume more of cucumber and butermilk...its all about balancing go enjoy mangoes but in limit and with balancing :)

Color of baby's skin is determined genetically, and NOT by the type of food you eat.

I have not heard abt mangoes being bad. My Dr says eat anythg as long as you dont puke on it ;)
the complexion of the baby has got nothg to do with what you eat, and does it really matter that much?
your baby is going to be your sweetheart irrespective of it is dark or light......enjoy ur preggy days :)

I don't think mango affects the complexion of the baby...But eating mangoes can increase body heat considerably...That's why sometimes elders warn pregnant ladies not to have it...I guess if you eat 1-2 pieces of mango it should'nt be a problem...Or you can prepare mango milkshake using 1-2 mango pieces & plenty of cool milk...
