I am hypothyroid and after delivery having pot belly. I look like months pregnant and its too embarassing and unhealthy. After my delivery i continued wearing loose clothes and on top of that hypothyroid.

My legs are thin but too much fat on belly, that looks very ugly. Please suggest some exercise/ tricks to reduce pot belly.
    Thanks

    Ladies,
Unfortunately, you cannot spot reduce. You will have to go on a well balanced diet and exercise regimen and start losing weight. In time, you will see reduction in your tummy. It totally depends on your body structure where your body stores fat and where it will lose first and which part it will hang on till the end. I lost weight all over and only in the end is my waist getting better. So stay patient.

    Sheesta,
Even if you are eating the right food, you may need to watch your portion sizes. Also, things like oil can add up on your plate. It's best to measure oil and other fatty food. Look at the Indian lunch sans rice thread and get some ideas of portion sizes etc and try to see if you can get ideas. Weight loss is 80% diet and 20% exercise. So ensure your diet is clean. Leslie Sansone walk is a great exercise routine. Try and do that 6 times a week with a one day break in between.

    Regards,
    L

    Hi Sheesta

Try stomach crunch exercises. They are helping to keep my belly fit.

I also do walking for 30 to 45 mins about 5 days a week atleast. But for the belly we need to target that area and stomach crunch exercises work wonders.

    Good luck.
