We have a house cleaner who is an Australian. She is well over 70 years and she tells me that her whole family used only Sunlight soap for washing the hair and even now she has beautiful hair. I think there is nothing wrong in trying Dove soap..

I remember that in 70s and 80s there were very few shampoos in market. Many of the women used soaps for hair wash. There were popular shikakai soaps too.

My mom uses soap to wash her hair. She never used shampoo (her age 60+). She has only few white hairs. She applies oil regularly

Yes, shikakai hair soaps are very famous in those days. I remember my grand maa ( you read it right ) uses shikakai soap religiously twice a week. So using soap for hair is not new provided the PH suit for hair it is fine, other wise hair starts falling

I am finally able to use Patanjali shampoo. I managed to control hair fall using following oil prepared after tips from IL.

    Heat following things togather :

    1. Patanjali coconut oil
    2. curry leaves and fenugreek seeds paste
    3. amla juice extracted from fresh amla.

Cook the till it stops spluttering and store in a container.
I used a small amount in hair daily and more amount on the night before hair wash.

There is special hair wash soap available, about the PH level - its good to use lemon juice dillutet in water and pour over hair like conditioner, it brings right PH level and is great for shining and softening hair (vinegar works too but dont like the smell)

Hi there... it's not new thing to use dove soap for hair. I went to a salon to trim my hair and the filipina stylist told me that my hair is very thin. She advised me not to use shampoo and use dove soap instead. She told me that she's been using this soap for 20 years now and her hair is lively, shining and full.... I started using it from today, let's see how it goes :)
