Vista will not run with 2 gb ram also.... Disaster OS... It will make PC super slow....... windows7 may do better with that.......... Or you can try linux UBUNTU MINT PUPPY LINUX

Well requirement is 1 gb atleast for windows 7 but vista is not good with as much ram as you can add to a pc......... 2 gb, 4gb, 8gb.... No use...... Atleast i have seen....... Form april 2014, only windows update for xp will stop......... So, If you keep antivirus and firewall updated then i dont think it shud be a big problem....... Free antivirus..... 1. Avira 2. Avast 3. AVG free firewall 1. Zone alarm 2. Comodo so unless you need to run new software compatible for win 7 only there is'nt much need....... And if xp then im guessing ddr2 ram so you could add some ram easily........ And add win7 then.......
Windows Vista is not good. User feedbacks were like , 'it is more of junk than an operating system'. Windows xp itself is better than Vista.
hay there ..... don't worry about the news... and don't even try to use Disastrous Vista .. lol you can continue using XP happily by updating it . and yes if anyone don't update they can not run any applications or install any kind of software's ... so u just need to update it.. and don't go for 7 that's a bad option too. for ur configuration u just need an update. let me know if u are unable to update it (unregistered XP can not get updated) so that i can post a link of an offline updater ..
