    Dear ladies,

Many of my pregnant friends say that they had a scan in their 20th week. But my doc prescribed around end of 22nd week to 23rd week begining. Am kind of concerned is it too late or has anyone had it at this week.. What was checked in this scan?

Thanks again in advance for your inputs.

I am in my 22nd week pregnancy(5th month).... I did 3 scan within first 3 months (including NT scan),and then later 4th month scan to check Cervical length .. she said its normal. Now my doctor is saying to do Anomaly scan now in 5th month ....is this ok? I have undergone scan almost at my every visit starting from first.... I am worried. Will every month scan affect my baby....However next i have NT scan also that is 6th month scan.. .Pls suggest.. This is my second Pregnancy...pls help me... I am unaware of the checkups of second pregnancy. During my First pregnancy i had only 3 scans til my delivery.

Hello puppa.. I am not sure whether its absolutely necessary in doing a scan almost every month although ther is no harm doing it.. But some hospitals may be doing this to see money.. beware of dat.. u better enquire abt this to few others who are visiting ur gynac to check if it is the same case with all of them.. I have not heard of the 6th month NT scan.. becoz it is usually done in 11 - 13 weeks only..

@puppa I live in Singapore and I have had a scan every time i visit the doctor. This is usually once in four weeks. It does not harm the baby, so do not worry about it.

As @naveensasi said NT scan is usually done during 11-13 weeks. I am not aware of it being done during 6th month.

20 week scans is a must as they check if all organs are in place etc. Personally, I find scans reassure me as I will keep wondering otherwise.

@puppa Good decision. I am also scheduled for anomaly scan in my 20th week. I did not opt for NT scan as i felt unsure. But definitely planning to go for my anomaly scan :)

Have you started feeling baby movements? My doctor says by 20-21 weeks i should start feeling babys movements. I am just 16 weeks, cant wait to feel the kicks :)
