    Welcome muthu, initially it is better to copy other artist's works, and once you get a foothold, try to evolve your own style. I had done this in my teen years, and had been a fan of Shilpi for his photorealistic paintings of temple idols, who also happens to be the guru of Padmavasan, as also Maniam, father of maniam selvan or ma.se. whose works happen to be everywhere from magazines to posters, well known in Tami lnadu. Pencil is a versatile medium and the best to start with in artistic ventures.Good luck!
