amoarsh, I heard of a joint called Zaffron (location not clear), owned by a Gujju couple, where u can find authentic gujarathi food...anyone who know this place can give a lead... I didn't find Spice Boat (somewhere on corniche (or) west bay)in the above list - This is owned by malayalam Actor Prithviraj.....Heard ambience and food is good... Meenasri : We went to Saffron (Katara), and came back without tasting food, coz we were asked to wait for an hour to get a table...ggggrrrrrrr!!!!!!
Bombay Sweets & Restaurant - In Najma, very economical & tasty food....Their chapathi's are very soft and also have good variety of sweets!!!
@ Preethi... its cafe zaffran , at The Centre, somewhere near the samsung showroom side. I had sweets in Diwali, from that shop, and trully it tastes authentic. where is Bombay Sweets & restaurant in Najma, any near by shop or location you can point out..... is it Bombay chowpati?? I visited Sanjeeve Kapoors Khana Khazana too... food is awesome should try There is one restaurant - Sarangi at Horizon Hotel the decor is good and also serves indian food.. buffet is QR80/- Moti Mahal in Ezdan mall has also got good food
How about Karaikudi Restaurant friends?? I don't know the exact location. Planning to visit it once. I too heard of Bombay sweets & Restaurant in Najma very recently. Need to go there too. Bollywood masala is now one of my favourite restaurants to have chicken. Don't miss going there...
Hello Meenasri, i have tried Maharashtrian Pride, its near Anjappar, near Jaidah flyover. I had vegetarian thali there. its good value for money, but very small seating area. the poori is very soft an yummy.
Hey Preeti, i also tried the sweets at zaffron....it was decent... It not gujju food...its normal chat and mumbai street food. It is a bit pricey though and the quantity is less for the price. Kesar kaju at maharaja is brilliant
Shylajasanthosh, Thanks for the update on Zaffron, we r gonna try it one day... Whenever we dine in Maharaja, no matter whatever we order, the finishing item had always had been their curd rice and aloo palak...simple but yummy combo !!!
