Hi Friends , Am badly hunting for the old style oonjal for my house.even the one with back rest would be ideal !! Could you all tell me the places where I can find in chennai -south madras/nanganallur/tnagar areas?? even if its is second hand , its ok . But I found only in few shops where it was 9K-10K.....is that that pricey ?? anywhere cheaper??? :bowdown
Long time joshila. actually the plank is not that costly unlesd it is original teak. what is the bomber is the brass chain which can ho anywhere from 20-40k depending on workmanship. If stainless steel you can get @ 2-3 k. I think that is a nice rate. where did you check. There id old thread on swings.right now not able to retrieve the link. Even i am waiting ti commission one but hesitating on the space. Do keep me posted

There is a furn exhibition going on in the Chennai Trade Center, Nandambakkam, you can get an idea about what type of swings are available and the price range too. Now it is there till 2nd October.
Joshila, Why dont you look at cane as an option, you can use pillows and cushions for backrest? Hope this helps!
joshila, i found this nice dealer for swing in parrys, and the chains with carving or mindblowing. i also found the fibre glass swing person. both cost almost close to the same. i have kept my swing project under wraps for the time being as i am scared, my son would get hurt.. will give the address if you are still in need of it..
