    Solution

    Priyum,

The key to the solution lies in the 'Plurals' part of it. (My answer is same as Heena's).

The man has an eye, not eyes.

He plucked only one plum, so what he plucked and what was left behind was just one plum and not Plums.

    Let me know !

    Love,
    Preethi

    Sonia, Here's the Explanation

    Sonia,

The Question asked was what are the next 2 numbers in the sequence. It was said that 53 was derived from 72, 25 from 34 etc.

    72->53->34->25->?

There lies the solution. let me explain

72 can be expressed as follows to derive 53.

    7*7 + 2*2 = 49 + 4 = 53

Similarly, 53 can be expressed as follows to derive 34.

    5*5 + 3*3 = 25 + 9 = 34

On the same lines, we express
    3*3 + 4*4 = 9 + 16 = 25

So, the next two numbers will be :

    2*2 + 5*5 = 4 + 25 = 29 (29 derived from 25)
    2*2 + 9*9 = 4+81 = 85 (85 derived from 29).

    Is it clear now ?

    Love,
    Preethi
