    hi every1

    i m relocating 2 Beijing . Was thinking of carrying some indian masalas and lentils in luggage.
    is it allowed to take spices and pulses while travelling to china?

    Yes you can carry packed masala , pulses and any other food items.. dont carry poppy(khuskhus) and heeng.. Keep branded and packed items if possible carry bill.. we always carry these items.. But beijing airport they may ask you to open your luggage.. It happens usually with few people. If you are going on a long term then carry a few items, rest of the items you can buy in beijing itelf. Indian kitchen is located in chaoyang district behind police station, beijing. Indians in china thread somewhere i have posted the address of that indian kitchen store.

    you'd better carry as few as possible,most of them you can buy in Beijing.
