    you have to make friends for your kids sake, somehow or the other ultimately you will find some one eventhou you like them or not.it depends on you to continue it or not.

    I do have kids now.what i meant is during h4 without kids i had no friends.now that i am a mommy,will i get more friends?

    We all miss the charm of India.always confused to be here or there.
    To all the people who moved back after many years...r u very happy there?

    Did we make a mistake coming to the USA?

    USA provided the freedom,job,money etc BUT..

    somehow it is so lonely.

    I have a wonderful husband,cute kids,lovely home BUT..
    learnt abt my relatives who r so into status.friendships r superficial.

    Back in India we all never felt lonely!NEVER.

    Why? due to so many people..even if we are not close to anyone..when we step outside we confront zillions of people,different types,simple,rich..lots of them!we see and talk to so many people everyday.we really do not need to make an effort to make friends.we just KNOW people good or bad.

    Here in USA the only and real problem is we need to FORCE ourselves to know people,we work so hard for the relations and hence the expectations r too high.

    Now,if I want to go back to India..hubby is not ready.he is in a good job,brought his dream home and he is happy.kids will also be happy.what about us wives?

    is diverting,distracting attention all the time is what will work?sure it will but when will we LIVE OUR LIFE??Does anyone feel the same way?

    Yes, a me and a few women i know feel this way. Life seems stagnant and steady, miss the liveliness, the people the chaos, daily events,. Life here does feel lonely and when kids leave the house not sure what will happen. I would never have come if i had known life would get so monotonous. Miss my family a lot now after many years. I came 17 yrs ago long time back
