Hi, my daughter recently has these pimply spots on her right arm, then it started on her right thighs. I took her to a dermatologist and he said it is a viral rash, which would go away by itself in 4 to 6 weeks! He prescribed some medicine for the itchiness, and some lotion to be applied to the spots/rashes.

Whilst I am applying the lotion and giving the medicine, I am also looking to see if there is something natural which can also be used to expedite the healing process. The faster the rash gets over the better! Does anyone have any such experience with their kids, and if so, what natural things did you use?

    Thanks very much!

    Hi Mahajanpragati,

Thanks for your reply! I will try that as well, as coconut oil is natural, so no harm. But isn't it very oily to use after bath? Did you dress him in long sleeve after that? I used to rub olive oil on my daughter before giving her a bath, but have stopped that temporarily. Good thing your son didn't have any itches. My daughter sometimes gets up at night due to the itching:(.

    Hi Dinny,

Thanks so much for the link! So nice of you to help look for it:).

Maybe I should try the oatmeal suggestion, as it is natural. I do have calamine lotion, but the dermatologist didn't prescribe it, hence did not use it.

    Thanks again!
