Thanks for the detailed explanation, dimple :)

I guess it varies from person to person, so with me it has been good, I am happy with it, and I dont have any problem as such with it *touchwood*! someone here suggested eyeconic, it might be a good option for you. What brand do you use? :)

Ya, I have tried it some years back, it smudges, spreads all around your eyes, and is not very long lasting. :-(

i used to apply lakme eyeliner initially...then Lakme EYE ARTIST, which was really good
but i wanted to try something fabulous...so...as my friend suggested...i bought that Maybelline drama gel pot.....
but then i realised Lakme EYE Artiste was fabulous for me....so
now again i am switching back to lakme ..

and for waterline....i used maybelline colossal kajal....
i stopped using this after my Opthalmologist suggested me to change the brand (i developed allergy)...and i switched to Shahnaz hussain' kajal.....its damn good except that its smudgy....
so cant afford to use a costly kajl which smudges easily....
so looking for a change now with a non-smudgy and herbal one ;-)

Gel Liners are not water line safe. I mean u can use them on the lash line but not waterline. Only Kajals/ Kohls should be used.
Lotus Kajal is good, fab India one is also good. Lakme Satin Kajal also does not smudge much. Try these at the counter. Kajals smudge because they have the presence of oil in it. But This can be helped by dabbing loose powder.

I have been using lakme pencil stick kajal for many years now.Though its expensive,it is too good.It never smudges or leaves dark patches.
