Thanks so much ladies. Does it happen to you that if you start your week with a bad news, the entire week somehow gets bad? It happened last week.

Meg's weight is falling further and she in now 22 lb (10 kgs) exactly; couple more pounds down and she wil be off the chart. She is now in her 10th percentile and is being referred to a specialist to bring her back up. Came this know this on Monday. She is otherwise a very happy, content and an active baby.

My aunt is diagnosed with breast cancer on Tuesday. Small things kept happening until Friday, on which was the icing on the cake.

Driving rules have been changed in Ontario recently. For those who dont know, here driving license falls in 3 categories and we are required to pass the first 2 if we want to drive in highway. Most of them give the third at some point. Laws changed and I was forced to give my third test, which I failed. It shook me pretty hard because I am a good driver and have been driving for...forever now!
I was so shocked...later I came to know that the test center i go to fails 85% of the first timers. I should have checked before booking there.

On my way back home, i was driving downhill and there was a huge truck speeding behind me. I couldnt change lanes because it was 2 lane road and there was another truck beside. This stupid guy simply kept speeding so much that I had no choice to make a sharp turn to the shoulder to avoid collision. He still kept driving...I was shaken yet again and it me several seconds to recoup. Started thinking, if something happens to me, what will happen to my DD? I know her dad is there...still its not the same.

Ammani, just like gondu, Megha also started throwing a few tantrums or so I thought. We took her to Walmart over the weekend and she was jumping up and down in the cart like a monkey. I kept telling her not too and restraining her was only leading to outbursts. She had snack before leaving home and hence I didnt think she was hungry. I offered her a biscuit and she immediately calmed down. Is it possible that he is in some kind of distress (hungry, sleepy, attention) etc and hence throwing tantrums?

Would love to hear about new foods.

I have twin baby girls of 14th month. They started walking by the end of 10th mon.
But the problem is they are gettin teeth lately. still tey have 2-3 upper n 2-3 lower. because of this tey wont eat food if not mashed properly.. though tey pick particles with their thumb n index finger they wont eat themselves.. how to make it as a habbit to them..
If i keep the bowl infront of them tey put very little in mouth remaining all they throw on flor...
they are understanding the instructions what we give and follw most of the times.. they talk little like amma, nanna, da (come), tata, ball, kaaya (fruit ), truvva (asking for water ), bow bow (dog),
if we show someitems tot hem and ask to bring they wil bring..
    weight is perfect..
can any one tel me how to make the habit of feeding themselves.. we are getting tierd to fed them...

Honey, I dont know if this would work your girls but for mine, I used to give her baby biscuits. Initially, she just crumbled it but later she learned that she has to eat it. I haven't specifically taught her anything. I simply sat beside her ate her biscuit and she used to imitate. Very slowly she got it. I think it took several weeks.

Just the last week (and she is now 17 months) she got the hang of eating with a spoon/fork. I overcook her food and keep it in a bowl and she tries to eat it. Of course, it gets messy but thats the only way they learn.

Be patient...they are still young. they will get the hang of it soon. Just keep the finger food infront of them and while playing they will start to eat (at least thats what worked for my DD).
