Thanks for the explanation! I had found some step by step pictures online, but they were iyengar style, so I was concerned. Hopefully with a little practice I'll get something decent looking.

Your post is simply excellent.
One doubt in this.. After tying, are there any tips for adjusting the saree while sitting down and getting up..
I somehow have my first length-wise-pleat pulling up while walking , showing off my ankles..

any suggestions ?

thank u for the detailed explanation. there is actually some photos in the site nilacharal.com those r actually the iyengar style of wearing madisar can u actually tell us about the changes that has to be made in that to make it iyer style madisar. as it is pictures laong with the explantion it will be more easy to follow. thanks in advance
