    The base is a piece of MDF wood...I used mseal or shilpkar (Chemical clay available in hardwareshops)...to make the Ganesha and a not-too-loose-nor-thick batter of ceramic powder and fevicol SH for texturing the background..and painted the whole pic with acrylic colors...
