    You live in Singapore and he wants you to wear it, you will be the odd person in the crowd. The way you described it it will definitely blow up one day.

    He is becoming more religious..

    2 weeks ago, we went to little India (it's a place for shopping in spore)..there was this foreign worker who took a picture of me using his hp...before we could catch hold of him..he ran away...dh was so pissed..I heard him telling his mum that this wouldn't happen if I wear a shawl...so it becomes my fault that men ogle even though we women are decently dressed..they look at all girls like that...


    Just to highlight that I'm not drop dead gorgeous or anything...just sweet and petite and don't look like a mother of 2 kids...

    My husband is good looking..he looks like ajith...shouldn't I feel insecure...but I don't at all...he is always insecure...

    I second this. Its his way of showing who is in "control". I think its a phase though.

    MB...if you are not at all comfortable, dont wear it no matter what, unless you think its going to break the relationship. Its just so hard when the couple are not on the same page when it comes to religious matters.

    Do you have any daughters? If yes, whats his take on her wearing a scarf?

    My daughter is 8 years old...he is more than happy if she wears..but she can't for now due to school...

    Somehow, I have this feeling that my mil is behind this...it's just an intuition..shld I ask her abt this...why's she concerned abt me wearing when her own daughter doesn't...

    You have a bigger problem if he stars insisting that she also wears at some point in future. The only way to stop him insisting that she also wear is if you put your foot down and say NO now.

    I am sorry though, this is sure going to bring tiff in your relationship.
