How to attend visa interview with a kid ?

Hi All...

I am sure most of you would hav attended visa interview, n probably faced similar situations..I hav a DS who is US born so basically he need not attend Visa int...
me n my DH hav to attend the interview for L1 n L2 visa...

my questions are ;

1. Are v (me n DH) both suppose to attend the visa interview together ? in the same session ?
2. If v r suppose to attend together then can i take my DS along with me for visa int ? as there would b no one to take care of him in hotel :drowning ( my DS is abt 3.4yrs old) pl share ur experiences n also ideas to tackle this...

I recently went for H4 visa interview with my US born kid.
1. I think you both can go together in the same session.
2. You can very well take your kid with you for the interview.

thats a big relife to knw that i can take my DS along.. but is it required to take permission or fill spl forms inprior or there in the consulate seeking permission to let my DS in ??

Hi, you can take your son's passport with you. That's sufficient. You can inform the security person that your kid is US citizen and you can show his passport in case they ask for proof.

hey IlovemyMom , i hav one more question for you, i c that you too hav US born kid, so did you register your kid's name in India as soon as you came to india? is it compulsary to register? if so how do you register ?
