I don't know whether you are aware of this recipe or not.

    MINT - CORIANDER RICE
    Ingredients:
    1. fresh mint, coriander leaves- paste
    2. ginger, garlic, cinnamon, cloves, 4-5 shallots, green chillies, little aniseed- paste
    Procedure:
    Take a cooker pan.
Add 2 tea spoons of oil. Then mustard seeds.
After a few seconds, add paste 2 and a few curry leaves.
let it fry till u smell the aroma, and get light browny color.
Add paste 1. wait till oil floats.
Add enough water. (1:2 ratio , 1 tumbler rice & 2 tumbler water)
Add salt as per your taste.
When water starts boiling, add rice.
Let it for 2 to 3 whistle.
Before serving, add fried cashews, and Coriander leaves.

If known already or anything wrong, bear with me.
(I'm not an expert in cooking)

    Well raji, thanks for replying.
I just tried only this recipe and tasted good.
I didn't try any other side dish that would go along with this..
If you find any thing that suits this, please inform me.
    Thank you.

Hey I tried it yesterday. It was simply :wow And very simple too... All the ingredients are usually always available at home. And as Shivshankari said I added peas too. But I made a very very small change, added cumin seeds instead of mustard seed. Somehow I felt cumin will taste better. And of course ghee instead of oil. (Because I was trying first time, I didn't have much confidence on myself :) )...

Thanks for the recipe. It turned out so good. :thumbsup
