Same weight but difference in figure

    i don't know anyone faced this type of problem.my start weight was 145 lb..later reduced to 137lb.but never seen any much difference in my figure only a little.but now gained back my lost weight ,inspite of some diets.yes right now i'm 144 lb.but seeing a lot of different in figure ..????...so measured myself .have reduced 2 inches in my waist,tummy ,hip .what's happening on me ???.help me in this query?.

    check your blood sugar. i too lost inches but my wt remained the same. got tested have DM now. please be careful.

    You might have Gain muscles weight ...Muscle helps us in faster reducing of Inches

    My Zumba instructor once said that when she was at a lower weight, she used to wear a bigger size dress. Now her weight is more, but she fits into smaller dresses. If you were exercising/weight training you might be gaining muscle.

    that happens
    i used to be 62 last summer, took swimming classes n lost 3 kgs
    now this summer i started zumba n lost inches on my waist ....
    but wait is the same.....
    i spoke to my doc ... she said thats not any health problem
    its good actually...

    Some people gain weight(water weight) before and after periods. The weight will again reduce in between weeks. Check if you fall in this category.

    I do experience this problem every monthi reduce say around some 1.5 kg but one week before periods i will sure be increased by .5 kg atleast. i have pcos too. I dont understand what to do with this????/

    congratulations!!! you have successfully reduced fat.

    the first few lbs you lost were probably water, then you probably started weight training, so you gained muscle which is why you gained 'weight', but the muscle actually helped you lose some fat, so hence the inch loss.

    don't go by the weighing scale, it does determine whether you have lost or gained any fat.
    remember your weight is

    weight on the scale = fat + muscles + water

    therefore when you lose a few kilos, it is difficult to tell which of the above you have actually lost.
