I remove the stem and store them in glass jars inside the fridge.
Compared to plastic containers glass jars give more life to green chillies and curry leaves when stored in them

you should wipe the moisture collected on the lid to keep chillies and curry leaves fresh for a longer time

Wash & dry the green chillies, then remove stalk. Store in glass bottle & keep in the fridge. It stays fresh for more than 2 or 3 weeks. Instead of glass bottles, you can store in jadi also.
curry leaves, corriander leaves and ginger can be stored this way.

I store green chillies after removing the stem, and place a tissue b4 closing the lid. Mint leaves in closed containers with a tissue on top too... the idea is to let the tissue absorb any chemicals released, and there by keep the items fresh. It works for me :)
